In reality, it is our opinion that rain might actually do a better job of washing your car than the guys at your neighborhood car wash. One thing is for certain, it is definitely much easier on the environment as there will be no wasted water (that rain was going to fall anyways) and no more extra soap residue and other nasty chemicals washing into the earth.
The only bad part is the rain will wash off the dirt but won’t do a single thing to protect your car from getting dirty in the future. While we can’t actually fault the rain for this as its function isn’t to wash your car, it is still a downside in our opinion.
